Siamak Rahpeyk (سيامك رهپيك) studied Judicial Sciences and got his PhD in Private Law from Tarbiyat-i-Modares University. During the Iran-Iraq war, he was completing his education. Arseh Sevom could find no record of his political and student activities.
After completing his PhD, Rahpeyk worked for the Ministry of Intelligence and published on national security issues in the Strategic Studies Journal affiliated with the Research Department of the Ministry of Intelligence. At that time, Rahpeyk sat on committees that monitored the duties of members of scientific boards and codified the rules for selection and dismissal of professors.
Later, Rahpeyk was the head of the Research Center of the Guardian Council. Ayatollah Jannati appointed him as the spokesperson for the Election Observation Board. One year after the 2009 presidential elections, Rahpeyk was rewarded for his service with a seat on the Guardian Council. He was later appointed by Jannati as Executive Deputy of Elections Affairs of the Council.
In 2016, Rahpeyk stepped down. Just two years later, in 2018, he was again selected for the Guardian Council as a lawyer and holds that seat currently.
